Integration Engineer

Reflexion Health is seeking a highly motivated and driven Integration Engineer who has a passion for computer hardware, Windows operating system experience, and software development skills. The Integration Engineer will be critical to the success of our customer-facing infrastructure in addition to being a key contributor in our internal engineering teams. This position reports to the Vice President of Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Active participation on the Hardware System Design team
  • Act as lead liaison to DevOps team to design and align system configurations and interfaces
  • Work closely with Software Development team to ensure proper system hardware and software design
  • Create hardware and embedded software design requirements
  • Write Windows operating system scripts and software
  • Create design documentation
  • Lead hardware and software failure analysis
  • Create and execute engineering tests to evaluate: prototypes, new components, and concept models
  • Assemble prototype hardware/software
  • Maintain existing prototype and test systems
  • Support regulatory compliance testing
  • Liaison to Operations team to support and manage design transfer to manufacturing
  • Lead component selection and sourcing

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer science or other engineering disciplines or equivalent experience
  • 2 to 5 years work experience
  • Experience with personal computers, peripherals, and standard interfaces
  • Experience in automation and customization on the Windows platform
  • Experience working with operating system level drivers and Microsoft Windows configuration files
  • Experience writing applications using high level programming languages (C# or Python)
  • Experience creating documentation (design documents, work instruction) using the Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity and experience with Software Design Life Cycle
  • Experience with bug tracking tools
  • An understanding of continuous integration and automated software testing
  • Detail oriented, organized, and a problem solver
  • Self-driven, able to self-manage and complete projects on time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong collaboration skills

Additional Helpful Skills

  • Experience prototyping (breadboarding) electronic circuits
  • Experience in digital circuit and PCB design
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment (DVM, oscilloscope, bench supplies)
  • Understanding of design for manufacturing and design for test
  • Experience with project management and managing outside vendors
