About the Role:

The Senior Web/Mobile Development Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining modern web and mobile applications for a cloud-based rehabilitation platform. This position requires interfacing with Reflexion Health Clinical and Regulatory teams, as well as Clinical users to develop the requirements and create technical solutions for our patient- and clinician-facing products.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, designers and teammates to analyze and review requirements, features and functionality
  • Architect, design and implement web and mobile applications in an Agile environment
  • Set expectations and feature priorities throughout development life cycle; determine design methodologies and tool sets; complete implementation; support design and conducting of tests in conjunction with test team
  • Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contribute to team meetings; troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
  • Provide mentorship for the development team
  • Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives
  • Keep current with the latest practices and technologies, particularly in web and mobile application development; incorporate them into the company’s products as applicable
  • Participate in the creation and adherence of sound and appropriate development processes for an FDA regulated product
  • Participate in coding standards and leads code reviews
  • Help plan and set the course for upcoming projects

Skills We'd Like to See:


  • 5 to 10 years of relevant web and mobile application development experience
  • BS degree Computer Science, MS preferred
  • Technical leadership experience
  • Strong experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS Json, React/Redux and Angular
  • Strong experience with mobile development using native languages like Objective-C/Swift, Java and cross platform technology like Xamarin or equivalent
  • Exhibited experience in development of responsive websites that work across various mobile devices; experience with frameworks like React Native


  • Experience with software development for medical devices or systems
  • Some experience with Electron, Webpack and responsive frameworks such as Bootstrap
  • Experience in regulated environments (class II or III medical device or similar)
  • Some understanding of cloud services (like AWS/Azure) and database design
  • Passion for technical software development
  • Dynamic personality that is goal and solution oriented and able to work effectively within a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
