Skills required

  • Understanding of operating system internals for Linux and Windows
  • Ability to architect and implement automation solutions leveraging infrastructure as code
  • Coding skills for the development of programs and scripts
  • Proficiency in working with the Git version control system
  • Capability to configure and extend corporate network infrastructure
  • Expertise in computer system hardware

What You’ll Do

  • Linux, Windows, and macOS server and workstation installation, administration, and best practices for security and availability
  • Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of information systems, network services, equipment, end-user configurations, and devices
  • Administration of corporate infrastructure, services, and technology (network, security, etc.)
  • Understanding of LAN and WAN topologies, switching, routing, and VLANs
  • Provision and manage user accounts, permissions, email, corporate software, antivirus, etc.
  • Assist with the planning and deployment of security measures, posture, and policies
  • Design, document, and lead the execution of corporate processes (such as quality management, vendor SOPs, and infrastructure disaster recovery and business continuity plan)
  • Experience with corporate maintenance of confidentiality and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of the corporate infrastructure maintenance and growth
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

What You’ve Done

  • 5+ years experience as an engineer in a mission-critical environment
  • 2+ years experience managing multiple simultaneous technical/IT implementation projects
  • Received a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related major OR equivalent on the job experience in the IT field
  • Experience with public cloud platform
  • Experience with server virtualization platforms
  • Experience with business/enterprise class networking, firewall, and access point appliances
  • Experience with software project mgmt software
  • Experience with CRM/marketing software
  • Displayed a willingness to jump into a project in order to “get things done”
  • Ensured problems are resolved in a timely manner to customer satisfaction
  • Gained a reputation for excellent organization and customer service skills

Bonus Points For

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (FDA, HIPAA, Healthcare, Quality Management Systems, etc.)
