Medical Design & Outsourcing, a news source that follows the developments and innovations of the medical device industry, has published an article previewing the studies centering on our Virtual Exercise Rehabilitation Assistant (VERA®) telerehab platform to be presented at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) 2019 Annual Meeting.
The presentations by the Duke Clinical Research Institute and Yale New Haven Health will explore recent studies showing that VERA can save thousands of dollars per patient when used for rehabilitation following total knee replacement surgery, without any compromise in safety or efficiency. In addition, the studies report high levels of patient satisfaction and engagement with PT rehab when using VERA.
“We are thrilled that two prestigious academic organizations are both presenting on VERA at AAOS,” said our CEO Dr. Joe Smith. “The combination of results from prospective randomized controlled trials together with completely complimentary real-world experience should give providers and payors the proof they need for more widespread adoption of VERA.”
