mHealthIntelligence Fits Reflexion/VNSNY Partnership into Bigger Picture of Post-Acute Telerehab

Writing for mHealthIntelligence, Eric Wicklund covers the decision by Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY) to utilize Reflexion Health’s Virtual Exercise Rehabilitation Assistant (VERA®) platform as a key part of its ongoing mission to “promote the health and well-being of those we serve through cost-effective care and services,” in the words of VNSNY’s Lester Schindel.

“The announcement continues a recent series of news stories supporting telehealth as a means of improving post-acute care outcomes, primarily in speeding up the physical rehab process and putting patients in virtual contact with their care providers through an RPM program,” Wicklund notes.

Wicklund proceeds to go into greater detail about the growing trend towards telehealth as a post-acute rehab option and Reflexion’s place within it, citing the influence of the interstate licensure compact for physical therapists, the (soon-to-be-concluded) VERITAS study, and other recent milestones.
