Modern Healthcare: Virtual PT ‘May Improve Adherence to Rehab Programs’

In a look at the potential of virtual PT to “improve adherence to rehab programs and increase patient satisfaction,” Modern Healthcare‘s Rachel Z. Arndt spoke to Reflexion Health President and CEO Dr. Joseph “Joe” Smith and Dr. Frank Aluisio of Greensboro Orthopaedics about where our own Virtual Exercise Rehabilitation Assistant (VERA®) fits in.

“I was skeptical going in, thinking patient compliance would be an issue and that not having hands-on therapy, they would not progress as quickly,” Dr. Aluisio said, before telling Arndt that compliance has been “phenomenal,” with patients saying “they felt accountable because they knew someone was watching, and that made them do the exercises more.”

“The platform serves as a link to clinicians,” added Dr. Smith. “They get an unprecedented amount of transparency into the post-acute care process.”
