Employee Spotlight: Allie B.
When did you join Reflexion Health and why?
I joined in April of 2018. I was looking for a hands-on management role and I really enjoyed working in the health sector so I had an idea of what I was looking for. Once I saw the company charter and what Reflexion Health was working to accomplish, I knew it was the place for me.
What do you do at Reflexion Health?
I’m the engineering manager for testing, which means I oversee the team that tests our software before we release it. It’s a fun position because my department tests the patient-facing and clinician-facing software for the VERA® kit.
What makes Reflexion Health unique?
To keep it short and simple: good people, good products, and I get to help. At Reflexion Health, all of the different teams depend on each other, which creates a collaborative and social environment.
What are your hobbies?
I play on the San Diego netball team. For those who are unfamiliar with it, netball is like handball and basketball, and it’s so much fun to play. Another one of my passions is competitive running. If I’m not playing netball, I’m either training or competing in half-marathons.
What’s one fun fact about yourself?
One fun fact is that I’m from the small, small town of Glen Innes in Australia and I’ve been living in the US since 1995.
